Starting in a new environment can be challenging. At Business Factory, we understand and that's why we place great importance on onboarding - the process of integrating a new team member. Through a quality onboarding process, we aim to ease their integration into working life and the team. According to a study by Brandon Hall Group, effective onboarding can improve employee retention by up to 82 %.

When does it start?

It starts with the pre-onboarding process. Even before the newcomers officially start, we want to engage with them and regularly communicate the next steps. Once they accept our offer, we can proceed with the next actions, such as preparing all the necessary forms and getting the paperwork ready.

How long does onboarding take?

Onboarding can take time, and realistically, full integration might begin after one or two months. During this period, we maintain regular contact with the newcomer and give them all useful materials before their official start. The welcome e-mail includes links to articles about company values, case studies from specific teams, and videos showcasing our #BFlife.

The VERY first day

Starting a new job can be stressful, so we aim to make newcomers feel welcome and comfortable as they adapt to their new environment. The onboarding process begins with the HR team, where we review our approaches and introduce the tools we use for communication. A tour of the office and a gift of company merchandise are also part of the warm welcome.

To help manage the flow of information, we send a summary and a presentation via e-mail. Next, the HR specialists introduce the new employee to his/her team, and the team leader takes over the next phase of onboarding.

During the first week, there's a meeting with the finance specialists, and each new colleague also has the opportunity to meet with our CEO. This helps them gain insight into the company's direction and understand how they can contribute.
